WINES

“Our wines are moods, emotions we discovered tasting our first wines. Moods that renovate themselves at every harvest, tasting the grapes, the wine in the winery and the ready ones, slightly anxious for the result, the final tasting before offering them to our friend-clients. Emotions, Seductions, Lively.”

“With Ruggero and Orsetta, we’ve embarked on a road towards the discovery of terroir. We only work with two varieties, Barbera and Moscato, experimenting in tradition while keeping our minds open to innovation to bring out the best characteristics of the Costigliole d’Asti zone. We vinify Barbera d’Asti in stainless steel to better exalt its drinkability and the typical aromas of the variety, while we age the Barbera Superiore in wood to give it more complexity. Moscato has really surprised us: the terroir of Costigliole has given the wine intense notes of sage, excellent freshness, and a longevity that’s unusual for this variety. Without a doubt, the soil is what makes the difference. Its limestone and sand components give it incredible drinkability and elegant aromas. Banking on this potential, we chose to make a Dry Moscato, vinified and aged in barrique. It was a courageous choice, but the terroir held true: dry Moscato can have an almost bothersome bitterness to its finish, but this Moscato has a very pleasant almond taste, which convinced us we made the right choice.”
